DESCRIPTION OF SHOW:
Crossing The Line: Comedians, Politicians & Shock Jocks
This multimedia performance-lecture by veteran actor/producer/professor Teja Arboleda (Ethnic Man!® Gene Therapy & Healing Racism), digs deep into the freedom of speech issue. By asking the essential question: "Where is the line, and who is allowed to cross it?" Arboleda challenges the audience to consider the consequences of institutionalized and cultural assumptions and stereotypes reinforced by the famous and powerful. This program is presented in conjunction with the release of the powerful documentary, Crossing The Line: Multiracial Comedians, produced by Arboleda and co-producer, Darby Li Po Price.
In keeping with his other nationally acclaimed one-man shows, Arboleda offers fun and extremely engaging ways to learn and heal. Using his signature fast-paced humor, statistics, facts, audience participation and multimedia examples, Crossing The Line opens Pandora¹s box of media faux pas, and let¹s loose America¹s reaction to the powerful and notable such as Michael Richards, Don Imus, Rosie O'Donnell and Al Franken.
